Description
Circa 1890. A hand painted satinwood side chair, the oval back with a sunburst pattern of painted spars to a central painted panel of a lady after ‘Angelica Kauffman’, with all the facings painted with beadings of flower heads, the cane seat with serpentine seat rail painted with two cornucopias with roses, the back legs are square and slightly out swept the front legs headed by two oval flower panels, the painted and tapering legs with foliate painted entwining the legs finishing on a raised toe.
