Description
Circa 1920, wonderful Norwegian adjustable globe on stand. The globe has been made on a satin birch telescopic stand, held in position by a brass rod which has the different degrees on this. Beneath this is a circular pole which is embodied into a large bulbous turned upright. There is a wooden screw for adjusting the height. The whole piece stands on a squat platform base with concave sides, and beneath this are stylish squat feet. Unusual piece and very stylish. (The globe has Constantinople rather than Istanbul, therefore is pre 1930.)
