Description
CIrca1820. George IV mahogany low linen press/chest of drawers, probably by ‘Gillows of Lancaster’, the top in finely flamed mahogany with simple flat fore-edge, stylish moulding and beaded frieze. The centre with a pair of doors in flame mahogany with brass beading, open to reveal four removable trays flanked by a bank of four drawers each with cock beading, oval escutcheons and a turned handle, all the locks are stamped’ J. Child’, the quality is superb with the drawers made in mahogany and walnut.
