Description
Circa 1820. A quality George IV carved gilt wood and gesso elongated overmantel mirror, the shaped frame surmounted by a bouquet of flowers and extended foliate carving which flows over the moulded frame, with pierced corners with Rococo design which is repeated throughout, the bottom of the mirror with scrolling carved gilded gesso, punctuated by flower heads. The elongated frame contains its original mercury plate. All resting on a simple base.
