Circa 1880. George 3^rd style walnut chest on stand. The polished top with a foliate carved fore edge and a simple beaded frieze over a bank of six short and two long cock-beaded drawers with rococo brass swan-neck handles and solid oak (back to front) drawer linings. With chamfered foliate-carved sides. All on a stand with moulded edges and exquisitely carved neoclassical decorations over bold, acanthus-carved ball and claw feet with foliate carved knees. Lovely colour and excellent condition.
