Description
Circa 1880. A George III style mahogany and inlaid hinged top side or worktable. The top in wonderful flame mahogany with various cross bandings, hinged and opens to reveal an uninterrupted sycamore lined interior. The rectangular top with a chamfered corner, the frieze following the form of the top with flame mahogany panels and cross banding. The table rests on four elegant and fine square tapering legs with a classic Gothic arch and dot on the top, satinwood banding tapering down and finishing with three rondels, the legs are braced by cruciform stretchers. Great colour and patination, clean and sturdy.
