Description
Circa 1880. Exhibition-quality, pollard oak Victorian carved mirror backed sideboard. Surmounted by a carved cornice with fluted decorations, the pediment with further fluting and neo-classical carvings above central rectangular bevelled-glass mirror flanked by two taller mirrors and with fluted and turned columns to the side. The base quartered figured in pollard oak above cupboards with panelled, finely carved doors, one bearing a lead lined bottle rack, with a central drop-down cupboard above two drawers all with brass art nouveau handles. The drawer liners in solid mahogany and supported on a fluted base above flat bun feet.
