Circa 1870. An exhibition quality circular revolving piano stool probably by ‘Lamb of Manchester’. The revolving top upholstered in fabric with brass mechanism beneath, sits on a circular base with stylish edge and elegant frieze with a mixture of boxwood, amboyna and bone inlay. The table stands on four wonderful legs, which are turned ring turned and fluted, intersected by four ebonized and bone inlaid stretchers, in the centre there is another upright similar to the legs. The stool operates perfectly.
