Description
Circa 1900, large sized Chinese hongmu plant stand. The shaped top with pink variegated marble insert, surrounded by a segmented edge with a beading and concave section beneath this. The apron is profusely carved with a stylish pattern on the top and flowers and fruit below. All stands on 4 carved legs with Chinese figures at the top and foliate carving down the front, united by a cross over stretcher with Rococo style carving and a carved roundel in the centre, and finishing on stylised ball and claw feet.
