Circa 1900, unusual bovine, metal and oak table top dinner gong. The central circular gong is held in place by 2 chains attached to 2 curved EPNS finials. These surmount 2 cow horns, which are encased at the base in brass cladding with a stylised pattern on the top and a wrap around circular section of polished oak with a Heraldic shield on top of it (not engraved). This is attached to a raised oak plinth with an ogee moulded section and finishing on an enclosed base with brass corner straps. On the front there are 2 small upright arms which hold the beater.
