Description
Circa 1790. A large stylish bow fronted mahogany and inlaid George III sideboard, the top with fine figured mahogany with triple string inlay, broad banding and a boxwood banded fore edge, the front with a configuration of one curved drawer with stylish geometric inlay with a pair of brass lion mask handles with ring pulls through the mouth, beneath this there is a drawer in the frieze with inlaid quarter sections and geometric inlay, flanked by a full length drawer on the right fitted for wine bottles, with large cast brass lion mask handles, the other side has a faux drawer which opens to reveal a cupboard with uninterrupted space with similar handle and inlay, all resting on six stout legs with the ones at the front with satinwood and various inlaid panels and inlay, the tops of the legs with inverted arches and finishing on extended toes, all with great colour and patination, in excellent condition.
