Description
Circa 1890. A Qing Dynasty Chinese huanghuali and burr wood three piece folding table. The large circular top with burr wood insert contained in a four-section frame with a raised faux bamboo fore- edge, and shaped frieze with Chinese motifs. Towards the base there is a similar and smaller tray, all resting on a folding faux bamboo stand, of four legs, each braced by a smaller leg with bamboo leaves forming the brackets at the top and the bottom. In the center there is a hinged section. The table has wonderful colour, style and elegance.
