Description
Circa 1800. A large George III mahogany and inlaid tea caddy, the oblong octagonal shaped caddy with oval shell inlay at the top, broad banding in boxwood, ebony and rosewood, the deep hinge lid opens to reveal and uninterrupted interior, the front with a heraldic shaped escutcheon and cross banding and inlay on all sides, the underside with felt protection.
