Circa 1860. A mid Victorian walnut writing table. The rectangular top with rounded corners, the broad cross-branding, with an insert tooled and gilded burgundy leather top, The writing table rests on four elegant turned and carved legs braced by an elegant fluted and carved stretcher, with finials inside the legs on each end, resting on an elaborate carved and shaped pair of trestle ends with flower heads on the outside, finishing on neat cabriole legs with flower heads on the top. The writing desk table is polished on all sides making it free-standing.
