Circa 1900, elegant Chinese huanghuali marble top plant stand. The tall stand has a circular marble insert and a carved edge in the form of faux bamboo. The shaped apron is heavily carved with brackets beneath continuing in the same style of carving. The four large cabriole legs again have bamboo carved on the outside and at the bottom is a cross over stretcher again in the form of bamboo with a flower carved in the centre. The whole piece is mellow in colour and sturdy.
