Circa 1890, Chinese Qing dynasty huanghuali occasional table. The rectangular top is framed in faux bamboo on all sides. Beneath the top is a wonderful open frieze with relief carving showing leaves and berries. This pattern repeats on all sides of the table making it freestanding. The legs and understretchers are in the form of faux bamboo.
