Circa 1910. Quality George I Style burr walnut side or writing table. The top with four panels of fine burr walnut surrounded by herringbone inlay and wide crossbanding and with a moulded edge, above a central frieze drawer with engraved brass handle and bearing the label of ‘Townsend Antiques Bromsgrove’ possibly the Edwardian retailer. The central drawer flanked by two deeper, block-front drawers with matching handles, all above a shaped skirt and supported on cabriole legs with carved knees and pad feet. Lovely colour and patina.
