Circa 1815. An unusual and stylish mahogany, rosewood and ebonized D shaped card table. The hinged top with broad cross-banding, string inlay in ebony and boxwood, opens to reveal a felt lined interior with stylish banding to the fore edge. The entire base is ebonized, with a frieze with cast brass foliate designs, rondels and beadings, resting on turned and ring turned stem with four saber legs with further brass mounts, finishing on cast brass toes with original brass castors beneath.
