Description
Circa 1830. A rare William IV Goncalo Alves (Brazilian tigerwood) centre table in the manner of James Mein of Kelso. The rectangular top with rounded corners above a well-shaped frieze, carved on both sides with heraldic arms showing a stag beneath a tree. Raised on a bulbous turned stem with foliate collar, concave base with carved bun feet with concealed brass castors.
