Description
Circa 1890. A Qing Dynasty Huanghuali and marble top plant stand. The shaped top with a pink variegated marble insert which follows the form of the top, the fore-edge heavily beaded with a convex section beneath, with a profusely carved and pierced apron with leaves and flower heads, standing on four typical Chinese feet, with a mythical dragon head on the top, foliate carving on the knee, beadings on the fore edge and finishing on a ball and claw foot. The stand has great colour and patination, clean, neat and sturdy.
