Circa 1960, oak Orkney chair. With traditional back in straw, and a top rail, drop in seat in marram grass, and oak arms done in the style of David Kirkness. Standing on outswept and tapering back legs and similar front legs, all united by stretchers. To the back rail is a paper label, ‘Made in Orkney, D. Irvine Kirkwall’ and it is all light in colour and solidly made.
