Circa 1950s. An unusual narrow Sheraton style cabinet bookcase. With shaped pediment with fine beading, to the front at the top there is a single door with 12 rectangular astragal glazed panels. Inside three fixed shelves and tongue and grooved polished back. Beneath the top section is a small bowfront section and in the base one full length bowfront door with an oval panel which is framed in ebony. Beneath the door is a shaped frieze in the front and sides and the whole piece stands on four squat but elegant French bracket feet.
