Circa 1920, quality mahogany stool in the style of Whytock & Reid of Edinburgh. The rectangular seat is newly upholstered in tartan fabric, surrounded by an ogee moulding and stylish apron. The stool stands on 4 stylish legs with a raised carved centre at the top. The legs are chamfered on the inside and have a reeding down the front, united by cross over stretchers in the Chinese style and finishing on elegant, simple concave feet. The stool has been recently re-polished, and is great colour and style.
