Circa 1920, neat sized mahogany bedside cabinet by Whytock & Reid of Edinburgh, with an almost Chinese style solid top with raised edges on both sides. At the front is a single door with a bevelled edge and a cast brass handle which has a wonderful patination, inside has a slatted bottom for ventilation. The fore edges are rounded with a slightly canted corner and the whole piece stands on 4 elegant turned and tapering legs finishing in a stylish pad foot in the classic of Whytock & Reid style. Good colour, sturdy and functional.
