Circa 1910, burr and carved walnut mantelpiece by Whytock and Reid of Edinburgh with similar carving to that used by Sir Robert Lorimer. The solid top has a moulded edge, above a frieze with 3 foliate carved sections. The main facing is in burr walnut with simple moulding either side, and the base has 2 enclosed plinths, following the form of the mantel piece.
