Product Description

Circa 1900, unusual oak cupboard in the style of a 15th century cupboard named ‘Prince Arthur’s Hutch’. The rectangular top with chiselled edges sits over two cabinets with open fret panels decorated with the Prince of Wales ostrich feathers. There are two central doors which open to show two wide cabinets, and either side are chamfered pilasters extending down to form supports. A similar cupboard can be seen in Hampton Court Palace (on loan from the Victoria & Albert Museum, London) and you can learn more about it here.
