Circa 1900. A Sheraton style mahogany and inlaid cylinder cabinet bookcase. The top with elegant cornice, deep frieze with shell inlay, satinwood and boxwood banding. To the front there are two astragal glazed doors with further banding with three shelves which are adjustable. The cylinder has a shell inlay similar to the cornice, opens to reveal a well fitted interior and a pullout writing slide with a tooled and gilded leather writing surface, inkwell, flush brass pull handles, beneath there is a configuration of three full length drawers, which graduate from top to bottom, with cast brass swan neck handles, standing a on four bracket feet.
