Circa 1900, set of 8 stained beech bentwood chairs. With makers label underneath of ‘Fischel’ (one of the top makers of this style), they each have a curved top rail and turned uprights with squat finials. The seats have embossed patterns of cherubs, dragons and foliate carving, and below is a simple half round apron. This all leads on to ring turned front legs which taper down to raised toes, and slightly splayed back legs, supported on a circular stretcher between them.
