Circa 1930, rare set of 12 Whytock and Reid mahogany dining chairs. The backs are in figured Spanish mahogany and have a central vase-shaped splat and shaped uprights to the side. They lead on to shaped arms on the two carvers and generous sized lift out seats with a distressed hide covering. The cabriole supports have classic Whytock and Reid style carvings to the knees, and finish on pad feet.
