The embroidery has floral designs including thistles, wheat and roses, and a fine gimp runs along the sides, with tassels to the base. A pair of uprights continue down to form the back legs which are outswept and have turned sections. To the front are substantial cross stretchers, with bulbous legs and very elaborate H stretchers.
