Circa 1900, unusual large glass and brass chandelier. The cast brass top section has several raised brass arms with hanging drops. Beneath this there are 4 lamp holders which light the top of the chandelier. From the top bezel come strands of glass droplets which are held in place by a double brass wire. The centre stem has chain and a glass sections in the centre, and tiers of raised arms similar to the top with glass droplets. The main bezel at the bottom has foliate casting and there are several lamp holders on the inside and brass arms beneath, again with concentric pieces giving the impression of a massive amount of glass. The small and simple candle holders are fixed to the centre bezel and have glass swags between each of them finished by a single piece of faceted glass and a large oval tapering glass section between them to give it symmetry.
