Circa 1900, a good oak Jacobean style duet stool. The rectangular stool has a stuffover seat, and beneath this there is a moulded edge. The frame of the stool is peg dowel and has beading that matches beneath the apron. There is a cross stretcher beneath the stool to make it sturdy. It stands on four elegant turned oak and bobbin legs. There is a second cross stretcher with peg dowel towards the base, and the whole stool stands on four simple turned oak feet. The stool is clean and sturdy.
