Circa 1900, very stylish Hepplewhite style mahogany fold over card table, with shaped sides and a serpentine front. The solid mahogany top is hinged and opens to reveal a felted interior. One of the legs swings out to support the top when the table is open. Beneath the top at the front there is one full length serpentine drawer with flame mahogany veneers on the facings. The drawer has ash liners and at the front there are 2 cast brass handles, oval in shape with a very stylish back plate which has swags and tails decoration at the top and an oval flower head in the centre. Left and right there are also 2 oval carved flower heads on the fore edge. The gables are veneered in flame mahogany similar to that on the front. The whole piece stands on 4 square tapering legs which are framed on the front and as they continue down they finish on stylish squat block feet.
