Circa 1900, George II style walnut kneehole desk. The rectangular top with half matching veneers on the top, cross banding and a stylish caddy moulded edge. Beneath the top there is 1 full length drawer with herringbone banding, cast brass handles and a stylish engraved escutcheon. The drawers are full length at the front and beneath is a graduating configuration of 3 short drawers with similar cast brass handles and herringbone banding. In the centre is a small shaped apron and inside is a single door with an arched fielded panel, and inside of this there is a cupboard with a single shelf. With walnut gables and a caddy moulded edge that follows the form of the desk, the piece stands on squat ogee bracket feet. A neat size desk that could be used as a side table.
