Circa 1930, George II style walnut and burr walnut demi lune fold over card table. The D shaped top has a rounded edge and opens to reveal a felt lined interior, which is set in a crossbanded section. At the back the table has two legs which are hinged and fold out to support the top. Beneath the top is a deep burr walnut apron and in the centre is a narrow drawer with a cast brass handle in the form of an axe head drop. The whole piece stands on simple tall tapering legs finishing on pad feet. Sturdy, mellow in colour and clean.
