Circa 1900, unusual American circular revolving piano stool. The solid stained beech top with a scooped seat and ribbed fore edge, above a brass plate and a threaded undercarriage for revolving the stool. The stool has 4 turned, splayed legs which are held in position by a turned cross stretcher and a central column which houses the mechanism. The unusual feature about this stool is the feet which finish in a cast brass section in the form of an eagle’s claw grasping a glass ball.
