Circa 1900, exhibition quality chest on chest by Whytock and Reid of Edinburgh. With polished top and beneath are sections with carved foliate designs to the front and sides, with the gables in flame mahogany panels. With canted fore-edge above 4 shorter drawers and 2 large drawers all with cast brass swan neck handles, brass back plates and in matching flame mahogany. A pull out slide and carved moulding divides the 2 sections and beneath is a simple shaped apron standing on typical Whytock and Reid carved bracket feet.
