At the top to both side are scratch carvings, and from this 2 elaborate uprights continue down and finish in the large stuffover seat. There is a shaped apron that continues around the front of the chair. The back legs are square and shaped. The front legs have classical Victorian fluting, turning and tapering, and at the base of the legs there is a brass bezel and stylish cast brass castors.
