Circa 1880, pair of Charles II style walnut chairs. Profusely carved, the tops feature urns and cherubs with foliate carving surrounding them. The two barley sugar columns are the uprights, with a central bergere panel and surrounded by relief carving. There is a bergere panel to the seat, and the large arms feature acanthus heads either side. The pattern of cherubs and foliate carving from the top rail continues to the front stretcher and there is a barley sugar cross stretcher.
