Description

Circa 1900, large quadruple based bentwood hall stand. The hall circular top has a beehive finial in the centre and 8 curled upright sections forming the hooks, held in place by a circular section of bentwood. In the centre. The main upright is a cluster column made up of 4 strands which are bound together, and three quarters of the way down the 4 cabriole legs rise up and curl back, and a ring has been put in the centre for sticks and umbrellas. There is a cross over stretcher between each of the legs giving it stability. The hall stand has been stained black and is sturdy and stylish.
