Circa 1880, oak framed with green leather, deep buttoned desk chair. The horse-shoe shaped top rail is leathered and deep buttoned, held in place by an upright splat to the back and the C-scroll arms are fixed to the frame. The large stuffover seat is bow-fronted and curved to the back, and the back legs are square, slightly outswept and finish on brass and brown porcelain castors. The front legs are turned and fluted, finishing on brass cups, and brass and porcelain castors (one brown, the other white). In the style of Scott of Edinburgh.
