Circa 1890, carved mahogany and upholstered parlour chair. The Louis XVI style chair has an elaborately carved back, Rococo carving, foliate carving and flowers with a cartouche shaped upholstered panel in the centre. With upholstered arm rests, finishing in scrolling arms with acanthus leaves on the top and fore-edge. It has a large stuffover seat over a shaped and reeded apron, and the back legs are turned and out swept, whereas the front legs have carved flowers, small bell drops and finish on an elegant cabriole leg with stylish foot.
