Circa 1860, mid-Victorian walnut and burr walnut open bookcase. With a walnut veneer top, walnut fore-edge and cross-banded apron. Beneath the apron is a small beading, and it features gilded brass cherubs to the sides. Inside are 2 fixed pine shelves with walnut facing, and to the base are gilt cast acanthus leaves and foliage. It all stands on an enclosed plinth with ogee moulding to the top.
