Circa 1870, exhibition quality Victorian mahogany two door cabinet bookcase, with a simple cornice and below two glazed doors with flamed mahogany pilasters on either side the door. Below the main surface is a long drawer which opens to reveal a mahogany and leather writing slide. The liners of the bookcase are ash indicating that it is probably Scottish. Below the drawer there are two panelled doors with flamed mahogany panels, and the bookcase stands on an enclosed plinth. Excellent colour and patina.
