The dial is brass with Roman and Arabic numerals and an engraved face. The top has a seascape and a rocking ship which works as the pendulum beats. The clock has an eight day movement and is driven by two weights and a pendulum the same as a full sized Grandfather clock. Beneath the hood is a full length door and ribbed canted corners.
