Circa 1870, pair of oak and pollard oak library chairs. One chair is larger than the other, so they may have originally been a pair of male and female chairs. The shaped back has reeded uprights and carved acanthus leaves. It has been upholstered in a deep button leather, continuing to the padded arms and stuffover seats. The front of the arms have carved lion faces, with foliate castings to the top of the front legs, finishing on brass and brown porcelain castors.
