Product Description
Circa 1860, mid-Victorian specimen top occasional table. With its pie crust edging and various inlays and patterns in the centre. In the centre there is a sunburst with two different woods, mahogany and boxwood and is contained within another two concentric circles in a herringbone pattern. Outside this, other various woods in the form of bricks being stacked and the outer edge has a crossbanding with three or four different woods. Beneath is a cruciform block and the table stands on a cannon barrel column and from this there is 3 simple cabriole legs finishing in a simple turned toe. Beneath the tripod base is a downward facing finial of substantial size.
