Circa 1860, mid Victorian burr walnut four tier whatnot. The rectangular whatnot has rounded corners and wonderful burr walnut veneered shelves. The top has a three quarter shaped wrap around gallery with open fretwork. Each of the shelves are supported by turned and tapering columns. Beneath the bottom shelf is an apron of burr walnut which is in fact a drawer. The drawer has mahogany liners and the inside is French polished. The whatnot is freestanding. All standing on four turned squat bun feet. Excellent colour and condition.
