Circa 1880, unusual and stylish late Victorian mahogany tray on a stand. The rectangular tray has wonderful colour and a brass inlaid centrepiece, and has a moulded edge with 2 brass uprights either end with a shaped lifting handle. Beneath the tray are cross stretchers which give the tray sturdiness and there are also 2 shaped retainers to hold the base in position on the stand. The folding stand is X framed in the classic shape with gilded softwood in form of faux bamboo. At the top are two straps covered in velvet.
