Circa 1860, French ladies dressing table. In walnut and satinwood, with a shaped top that has a central hinged section, opening to reveal a mirror. The sections either side of this open and have silk lined apertures. Beneath is a pull out slide with tooled and gilded leather and it is above a full length drawer. There is a geometric inlay design in kingwood and banding to the gables and back, and it stands on banded cabriole legs and cast brass sabots. Could also be used as a desk or side table.
